The predicted salary is between 500 - 1500 Β£ per month.

This is an internship on a full time basis for 12 months. To provide engineering support to the Vehicle Development team, supporting the development and working alongside an engineering mentor to develop high quality work and contribution to new motorcycle development projects.

Under the support and supervision of a Senior/Project Engineer:

  • Design systems and components for new and updated Vehicle Development projects, considering function, cost, manufacture, assembly and quality.
  • Produce good quality 3D CAD models using Pro-Engineer.
  • Produce good quality 2D engineering drawings.
  • Follow design, operational and quality procedures.
  • Design components and systems to comply with regulatory requirements & RE.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality and Assembly.
  • Work with CAD Designers or contractors allocated to help with creating CAD.
  • Support testing department with the fixturing & testing of components & motorcycles.

Requirements:

  • 3 relevant A Levels A*-C grade or relevant college qualification.
  • Currently undertaking a relevant degree program such as Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and predicted a 2:1.
  • Strong engineering principles knowledge.
  • Practical experience in motorcycles beneficial.
  • Full driving licence is required to be able to attend the office due to there being no public transport.
  • Motorcycle Licence is advantageous.
