The Role:

To provide engineering support to the GMA Design Team, supporting the development and working alongside an engineering mentor to develop high quality work and contribution to the team to deliver a range of motorcycle accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Under the support and guidance of a Senior/Project Engineer :
• Design components and kits for new and updated Accessories projects, considering function, cost, manufacture, assembly and quality.
• Produce good quality 3D CAD models using CREO.
• Produce good quality 2D engineering drawings.
• Follow and help maintain design and operational procedures.
• Produce supporting documentation for designs, as required.
• Design components and systems to comply with regulatory requirements & internal test procedures where needed.
• Liaise with internal departments such as, Sourcing, Quality and Assembly.
• Liaise with outside suppliers.
• Manage your own time and workload effectively
• Create and manage timing plans for your areas of responsibility.
• To work with CAD Designers or contractors allocated to help with creating CAD models.
• Support testing department with the fixturing & testing of components & motorcycles.
• Present designs and contribute in design review meetings as required.

Experience/ Qualifications:

• 3 relevant A Levels A*-C grade or relevant college qualification.
• Currently undertaking a relevant degree program and predicted a 2:1
• Experience in design for manufacture, with knowledge of a variety of
• processes such as castings, injection mouldings, forgings, sheet
• metal and fabrications.
• Skilled in producing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using parametric
• CAD packages (eg. CREO)
