The predicted salary is between 1600 - 1800 £ per month.
This is an internship on a full-time basis for 12 months. To provide engineering support to the Vehicle Development team, supporting the development and working alongside an engineering mentor to develop high-quality work and contribute to new motorcycle development projects.
Under the support and supervision of a Senior/Project Engineer:
- Design systems and components for new and updated Vehicle Development projects, considering function, cost, manufacture, assembly and quality.
- Produce good quality 3D CAD models using Pro-Engineer.
- Produce good quality 2D engineering drawings.
- Follow design, operational and quality procedures.
- Design components and systems to comply with regulatory requirements & RE.
- Liaise with internal departments such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality and Assembly.
- Work with CAD Designers or contractors allocated to help with creating CAD.
- Support testing department with the fixturing & testing of components & motorcycles.
Requirements:
- 3 relevant A Levels A*-C grade or relevant college qualification.
- Currently undertaking a relevant degree program such as Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and predicted a 2:1.
- Strong engineering principles knowledge.
- Practical experience in motorcycles beneficial.
- Full driving licence is required to be able to attend the office due to there being no public transport.
- Motorcycle Licence is advantageous.
