Provide a proactive welcoming Reception service to the Unit, answer the telephone promptly and professionally, deal with enquiries, book patient Transport, amend as required. Register patients on EPIC, communicate regularly with the ward team, to ensure information is shared appropriately. Maintain security of sensitive personal and other confidential information. Ensure and adhere to all Trust policies and procedures at all times. Take part in regular performance appraisal.

This post will cover multiple areas within the Renal department including inpatient ward, ambulatory care and acute and satellite dialysis units.

Provide an efficient, professional administrative and clerical service to the Renal Department, ensuring patient information is accurate and updated timely. Provide effective communication to both patients and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the Department, which enhances patient care.

Provide a professional, efficient and effective reception, patient administration and appointment booking service to patients and visitors attending the Hospital in accordance with Trust policies and standards relating to confidentiality and customer care. Ensure that the professional image and high standards of the Trust are maintained at all times. Ensure patient/staff safety and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week with planned, occasional Saturday working.

Please note, this is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
