Are you looking to develop your clinical and leadership skills in a dynamic team of therapists working as part of a multidisciplinary service?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a Team Lead Physiotherapist within Acute Neurology and Medicine. This 12 month fixed term, part-time (22.5 hours/week) role offers the chance to provide clinical leadership and specialist physiotherapy expertise to patients admitted with a new diagnosis or relapse of a neurological condition, patients post-neurosurgery, and those presenting with acute medical illness.
The post holder will also play a key role in the management of people living with Parkinson’s disease and older adults admitted under the Health of Older People (HfOP) service. Working closely with the Team Lead Occupational Therapists, the post holder will help deliver a high-quality, interdisciplinary inpatient service and will also provide specialist clinical expertise to neurology and medical patients who are outlied to other wards, ensuring continuity and quality of care across the Trust.
The post holder will manage a varied and complex caseload, including patients with a wide range of impairments and functional deficits following acute deterioration or new presentation.
