We are delighted to be able to recruit an Administrator to join the Microbiology team within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based at RDUH, Wonford, Exeter. We are seeking an Administrator to assist with providing a comprehensive administrative support function to Managers, the scientific team and Consultants.

The Microbiology Department at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is based across two hospitals, the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and North Devon District Hospital. It is part of the Pathology service providing a diagnostic Microbiology service to the Trust and community across Northern and Eastern Devon.

You will be providing administrative support to the busy Microbiology team, including Managers, Consultants, Seniors, Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants. You will be assisting in the monitoring of Consultant and Laboratory email inboxes and clinics, answering phone calls, using the electronic staff record on a daily basis and supporting laboratory meetings and other administrative functions. This will require excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and a confident and mature approach to work.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well-motivated candidate with relevant experience. To be the successful candidate, as well as being friendly and reliable, you will need a flexible attitude towards work with good organisational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail and good interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work under pressure and work well within a team. It is essential that applicants are able to demonstrate strong IT skills, which must include knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience of using Epic EPR, Health roster, ESR and Medirota would be an advantage.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. Full or part-time working will be considered. Please note, this is a fixed term contract until 09/01/28.
