Hepatology Nurse Specialist in Barnstaple

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Hepatology Nurse. This post is permanent. We are looking for a nurse with Hepatology and gastroenterology experience. This is an expanding and progressive service that delivers safe and effective specialised nursing care to patients with a wide range of liver disease within the hospital setting and community; therefore, willingness to travel is essential.

You must be self-motivating, enthusiastic, organised, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development. As a member of the multi-disciplinary Hepatology Team, the post holder will provide nursing expertise related to liver disease to colleagues across the Trust and community.

Due to increasing demands within the Hepatology service, we are looking for a motivated, dynamic person, with a genuine interest in liver disease to join the Hepatology team.

The successful candidate will be part of the Royal Devon University NHS Foundation Hepatology Team and will be based in North Devon. Part of the role will be working with the Hepatology Nursing Team in Exeter; therefore, must be willing to travel between both sites, especially as part of the initial training period will be in Exeter. We encourage a learning environment in the team and offer support with ongoing training to develop within the role. Ideally, you will have a background of hepatology nursing; however, the Trust is prepared to develop and train a suitable high-quality individual.

Working Pattern: 33 hrs - Monday to Friday

Salary: Band 6: £39,959 - £48,117 per annum pro rata
