More detail about the role Ophthalmic Macular Practitioner is a role for a registered health care professional, registered with a professional body as either a Nurse, Optometrist or Orthoptist. They will have specialist skills in the sub speciality of macular and further develop skills in medical retina. Applicants with no previous experience in the sub speciality of Macular Ophthalmology will be considered for a training position. The post holder will regularly on a weekly basis deliver intra vitreal injections of anti VEGF therapies from the main hospital site at Wonford and two other peripheral community sites. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours/week 8 – 18/three day a week and 8 – 17:30/ one day a week Interview Date: 13th October 2025 For further information please contact: Teresa Bonura, Clinical Practitioner Manager.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
