We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Theatre Assistant to join the operating theatres and recovery department as part of the dynamic theatre team at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

Responsibilities

  • Clean theatres and the department.
  • Work as part of a multi‑professional team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Working in a hospital environment or with the general public.
  • GCSE in English and Maths grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate / Level 2 or 3 Healthcare Apprenticeship.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness of health & safety issues relevant to the healthcare environment.
  • Basic computer use, experience with the Galaxy system, ability to answer bleeps and raise concerns regarding patient safety.
