Responsibilities:
- Assessment and management of acute admissions to the Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Medical Assessment Unit, and attend ward rounds as timetabled.
- Attend multi-disciplinary ward rounds.
- Assist in-patient care.
- Assessment of patients in the Emergency department.
- Fulfil the duties of the weekly timetable including out of hours.
- Participate in clinical activities.
- Participate in departmental Education and Training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Experience working within the NHS at a Junior / CMT / Trust SHO Doctor level, with a minimum of 12 months of work in Medicine.
- Current ALS / ATLS (or equivalent) certification.
- GMC registration.
- Access to study leave; the role is equivalent to a training post.
- Will be subject to the terms and conditions of substantive posts within the Trust.
