Specialist Dietitian for Gastrology and Hepatology in Truro

To work as a senior autonomous practitioner providing dietetic support and advice for patients referred to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Dietetic service, their carers, and Health Professionals. To contribute to policy development. To develop appropriate resources as required. To help to support and/or establish research and development and a robust audit review of the nutrition and dietetic service.Main duties of the job To deliver a complex and high-quality evidence-based nutrition and dietetic service to Gastroenterology and Hepatology patients. To provide a skilled service to Gastroenterology and Hepatology inpatients and outpatients. To have a high level of knowledge, skills and experience to approach tasks with an open and understanding mind and deal with situations in a timely and empathic manner. To be responsible for nutrition and dietetic participation in multi-professional groups and contribute to policy making as directed by the head of service May be required to deliver a service in different locations. RCHT is working towards seven-day service delivery and the post holder may be required to work on evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
