Main duties of the job

So we are now investing in our Estates team in both strategic project management and in the day-to-day management of our maintenance and buildings. We are interested in hearing from highly motivated, hardworking and committed individuals with experience in their field of work, as well as people looking for a change in career direction. Person Specification

  • Level 3 qualification in a mechanical discipline (plumbing, heating, pipefitting or building services) or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Relevant apprenticeship or craft training. Additional building services or mechanical maintenance training
  • Experience undertaking mechanical or plumbing maintenance within a building services environment
  • Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and routine repairs
  • Experience using hand tools and mechanical maintenance equipment safely
  • Experience working within large or complex estates such as hospitals, commercial buildings or industrial environments

PRACTICAL AND INTELLECTUAL SKILLS (INCLUDING ANY SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE)

  • Knowledge of mechanical building services systems
  • Ability to follow maintenance procedures and safe systems of work
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and service users
  • Basic IT skills including CAFM systems
  • Aware of HTMs and SFG20 maintenance standards
