Main duties of the job:

  • Train patients to undertake home dialysis treatments both in haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Aim to increase uptake in home dialysis as the first choice treatment option by delivering group education sessions regularly.
  • Visit patients in their homes where indicated.

Job responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload and time management to respond promptly to emerging clinical needs and ensure optimal delivery of care within the modality.
  • Provide training and education for patients to independently undertake haemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis within their own homes.
  • Respond promptly to emerging clinical needs and ensure optimal delivery of care within the modality.
  • Perform additional clinical duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • NMC registered.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Relevant experience within speciality.
  • Non‑medical prescriber.
  • IV/phlebotomy trained.
  • Completed a renal course/qualification.
