This role is open to all applicants. Initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team within the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department, assisting in the smooth running of MRI scanning. The role may also require occasional support of CT scanning lists and other clinical imaging departments. Tasks will include dedicated specialised duties tailored to the area in which the post holder is assigned, and support to the wider clinical imaging service to deliver high standards of patient care. The post is based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital but will rotate to Bodmin Community Development Centre as required. A valid driving licence and the ability to travel to Bodmin CDC are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the smooth running of MRI scanning sessions.
- Occasionally support CT scanning lists and other clinical imaging departments.
- Perform dedicated specialised tasks specific to the assigned area.
- Provide support to the multidisciplinary team across the wider clinical imaging service.
- Maintain high standards of patient care.
- Comply with local and Trust procedures to ensure health and safety.
- Undertake clinical procedures with a degree of autonomy, supporting pre, peri and post‑procedural care.
- Support the practitioners in managing clinical workflow through the service.
- Undertake general administrative and clerical duties as required.
