We are looking for self‑motivated, compassionate, caring, enthusiastic and hard‑working individuals to help and support the clinical staff within the Clinical Imaging Department.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Imaging Assistant will be required to undertake a very wide range of duties under the direct supervision of the Clinical Imaging staff. These will encompass clerical, patient care and the transportation of patients to all Imaging departments. You will need to be an excellent communicator with good inter‑personal skills, have a practical approach and mechanical aptitude. A good general education is necessary including basic IT skills. Previous experience working with patients or customers and basic clerical / keyboard skills and computer literacy are essential for the post. Previous experience as a carer would be desirable.

Qualifications
- Good education to include Grade A‑C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics and/or relevant NVQ Level 2
Experience
- Prior experience of working with the general public
- Computer literate with basic IT skills
- Previous experience of working within the NHS or Healthcare system
- Effective and adaptable communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to a consistently high standard
- Able to complete pre‑procedural checks in at least one modality
- Basic patient observation skills
- Take responsibility for developing oneself and motivated to learn
- Flexible in working patterns and location
Additional circumstances
- Ability to travel and work across sites
- Flexibility, requirement to work a majority of late shifts.
