An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Business Support and Personal Assistant to provide the necessary administrative support across the integrated adults and children safeguarding services team, and in particular enabling the efficient and effective functioning of the safeguarding team and direct support for the Head of Safeguarding, Deputy and the Named Professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of Administration duties to the safeguarding team, supporting the day to day functioning, including management of the team's electronic diary.
  • Management of Head of Safeguarding, Deputy and the Named Professionals electronic diary.
  • Direct line management of Administration Assistants.
  • Supervision and management of other admin and clerical staff within the Integrated Safeguarding team.
  • Participation in the recruitment of admin and clerical staff, to include shortlisting, interviewing and appointing.
  • Provide cover for other admin and clerical colleagues within Integrated Safeguarding Services in periods of leave/absence.
  • Provision of oversight and support with building management, based at IMPACT, RCHT, to ensure it remains in good decorative state and working order, also ensuring compliance with appropriate health, safety and security and fire procedures within the work area.
  • Use initiative and be proactive in introducing and streamlining systems in order to enhance the productivity of individual teams within integrated Safeguarding Services and aid the team to carry out safeguarding functions and statutory responsibilities.
