Here at RCHT, the Anaesthetic, Critical Care and Theatres (ACCT) education team offer high-quality support for students and new starters with bespoke training sessions, work alongside colleagues in the clinical setting to enhance skills and competence and deliver mandatory training across the care group. The team are also involved in exciting projects and lead on clinical partnership modules to support safe and effective patient care and staff career development.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic practitioner to the post of Clinical Practice Educator for Theatres.

The appointed candidate will work with the Lead Educator for the care group and other clinical managers within a friendly, flexible and dedicated team.

Main duties of the job

Coordination, support and development of ongoing training packs for theatre teams.

Liaison with the relevant Higher Education Institute(s) to ensure that placement requirements are being met.

Support and development of mentors in practice.

Provision of clinically based education within theatre areas supporting theatres staff.

Facilitate Mandatory Training for staff across theatre sites.
