The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a world-class centre of excellence inperforming arts education. RCS is a vibrant environment and your leadership as theHead of Academic Administration & Support will be instrumental in leading andoverseeing the AAS (Academic Registry) team and its various functions throughcontinuous improvement in the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of processes insupport of high-quality learning and teaching outcomes, assessment and studentsupport services.
You will take the lead in the optimisation of service delivery to students, staff andpartners of RCS, and external agencies as appropriate.This is an exciting, rewarding and varied role overseeing the full HE student lifecyclefrom recruitment to graduation, including admissions, registration, assessment,progression, student welfare and graduation.
You must be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of academic administration,ideally with experience gained in a higher education/arts environment. In addition tothis, you should have strong interpersonal communication skills with soundjudgement, sensitivity and discretion, as well as the ability to influence and persuadeinternal/external stakeholders and build trusted relationships.We reserve the right to shorten or extend the closing date for this position depending on the number of suitable applications received.
