All of the revenue from these sales is directly invested into the care and conservation of the incredible Royal Collection.
As the Retail and Admissions Assistant Manager at the Palace of Holyroodhouse you’ll drive sales and lead a dedicated team to deliver both an exceptional retail and visitor experience to the site.
Key Responsibilities- Leading a dedicated and enthusiastic front-line team, you’ll make sure they are ready to meet the day’s demands, offering an outstanding service to every visitor who comes through the door.
- You’ll co-ordinate daily team activities and be the first port of call for any queries.
- Guiding, training, and supporting your team, you will ensure that they are motivated and equipped to deliver their very best and achieve budgeted sales targets and KPIs.
- You’ll also oversee the day-to-day operations in the shops and at the admissions desks, including stock movement, visual merchandising, and promotions, as well as reviewing the ticketing procedure to help optimize sales.
- It’s a busy environment and no two days will be the same. You could be running through opening checks ahead of a busy day, or recruiting new talent for your team; you’ll be the driving force behind a truly memorable customer experience.
- With experience in a retail and/or ticketing profession, along with the ability of driving sales and KPIs through exceptional customer service and commercial focus, you’ll be keen to develop your career further in a new environment.
- With strong leadership skills, you will be familiar with recruitment and training processes, and eager to lead a team from the front, developing and encouraging those around you to get the best out of them.
- You’re extremely capable when it comes to IT, confident using a range of systems and with good numeracy skills too.
