Overview

In this role you will shape Silversea's global PR and content narrative, focusing on international markets to boost brand visibility and affinity.

You will collaborate with regional leadership and the global team to tailor messaging for the UK, EMEA, AUS/NZ, and APAC, while guiding editorial direction for Discover by Silversea.

You’ll manage media relations, content strategy, and agency partnerships, driving measurable earned media impact.

This is a senior, influence-driven position that combines storytelling with strategic communications across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage global PR and communications strategies aligned with the marketing plan
  • Regionalize global PR to UK, EMEA, AUS/NZ, and APAC with region-specific priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, outlets, and regional PR partners
  • Create media materials (press releases, notes, briefings, talking points, internal communications)
  • Partner with global PR and Corporate Communications on crisis and issues management
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to align communications with local priorities
  • Track, measure, and report earned media performance monthly
  • Manage PR agency and content partnerships, including budgeting
  • Lead visiting journalist familiarization (FAM) programs
  • Support the global PR team as needed
  • Partner with Manager, Strategic Web Content on Discover by Silversea editorial direction
  • Build and manage the editorial calendar balancing storytelling, SEO/GEO, and timely content
  • Lead, edit, and approve blog content before publishing
  • Provide direction to content partners to ensure quality and brand alignment
  • Identify content opportunities that support PR, paid media, and other initiatives
  • Monitor content performance to refine strategy
  • Operate as a senior contributor and influencer within the team
  • Partner with brand, marketing, and regional leadership for consistent messaging
  • Advise leadership on brand reputation, narrative, and media strategy
  • Manage budgets, vendors, and agency relationships
  • Other duties as necessary
  • Key requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in PR, communications, or content with international media relations experience
  • Proven ability to secure earned media across multiple regions
  • Strong editorial instincts and newsroom mentality
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, contractors, and junior staff
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
  • Discretion and tact in all levels of interaction
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point
