About The Role
Royal Caribbean Group Marine Operations are looking for a Workforce Scheduler to join our UK office located in Weybridge. Candidates must be based in the UK with full right to work.
Position Summary
As a Workforce Scheduler, you will carry out workforce planning and logistics for Marine Operations, following operational guidelines and directives from Marine Operations and department leadership.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Schedules crew assignments and rotation planning for the Marine department
- Provides information supporting an effective par level planning process and related procedures
- Design and implement optimised solutions for fleet needs pertaining to the Marine cost centre
- Ensures effective communication with Marine operations, department leadership, fellow team members, and crew members in areas related to scheduling, succession planning, recruitment, and logistics as appropriate
- Complies with applicable rules and regulations including but not limited to SQM, flag state & port state legislation, collective bargaining agreements and company policies in all aspects relating to workforce planning
- Provides complete and accurate employee data in the Human Resources system for assigned departments and/or positions including performance data for succession planning
- Performs related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, And Skills
- Previous experience in workforce planning, analytics, scheduling, or logistics services
- Knowledge of automated human resources and workforce planning systems preferred
- Good working knowledge of Excel and reporting systems
- Determines the necessary sequence of activities and the efficient level of resources required to fulfill fleet needs
- Proven track‑record for applying optimisation techniques in domains such as inventory optimisation and crew planning
- Evaluates problematic situations and creates resolutions based on planning and reasoning. Uses logic, judgment, and data to drive decisions
- Visualises, articulates, and solves complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts and makes decisions that make sense based on all available information
- Quickly learns and applies knowledge, skills, and judgment by assessing and translating data into responsive and effective planning solutions
- Communicates tactfully, verbally and in writing, to gather and relay information in a multinational environment consisting of department heads, managers, coworkers, and shipboard employees
- Knowledge of applicable immigration and visa requirements preferred
