The predicted salary is between 25000 - 32000 £ per year.

This is an important entry level role within the International Finance team and will suit a recent Graduate looking to learn and grow within a global company. The key focus is to support in the provision of reliable, accurate and timely management information to measure the performance of the International Offices (and their related markets), thus enabling the International Finance Director and other Senior Management to track performance and make informed decisions. The role will be exposed to all areas covered by the International Finance team and offer strong opportunities to develop. Responsibilities will increase after the candidate shows a high-level of understanding and proactivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing close support to the Commercial Director and other members of the team when required.
  • Support in the preparation and presentation of financial information to enable informed decision making across the International business, including monthly reports and ad hoc projects.
  • Supporting in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for the division for both sailed revenue and expenditure (operating & capital) across all International offices.
  • Identification of and quantification of risks, trends and opportunities in all forecasts/plans.
  • Monitoring of commissions and reporting of performance against commercial terms plus tactical schemes.
  • Maintain, develop and improve International reporting including liaison with relevant stakeholders within the business.
  • Partner the market Finance and Commercial teams to ensure correct financial procedures and controls are adhered to, including taking an active role in the Month-End review process.
  • Obtain a good working knowledge of Oracle PBCS system and provide back-up to the System Administrator on key processes.
  • Working to standardise and streamline existing manual excel based processes where possible.
  • High-level involvement in the Management accounting and forecasting for the Guest and Trade Services function.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Good standard analytical degree (2:1 minimum) and A-levels.
  • Intention to take further related qualification (CIMA or ACCA). Support will be provided.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 1-2 years in a Finance role or placement year.
  • Quick learner and demonstrate eagerness to learn.
  • Very proactive – Whilst the role will be heavily supported by the team, the candidate must also take the initiative to build their own knowledge and understanding.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Very high attention to detail, data accuracy is crucial element of this role. The role will lead to taking ownership/preparation of own analysis work.
  • Analytical mindset – willingness to challenge/investigate, question and demonstrate understanding.
  • Able to work in a team and independently on projects.
  • Demonstrate high-level excel skills and other MS applications (Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships at all levels of seniority.
