The Royal Caribbean Group’s (Marine Operations) Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Manager, LNG Operations reporting to the Director of Marine Operations.

Position is onsite and based in Weybridge, UK.

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for the technical implementation of RCG Fleet Global LNG strategy, including LNG Bunkering, policy and procedures, training, and maintenance. Responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operations of RCG LNG Fleet, working together with the Safety and Nautical and Technical Teams driving and supporting the operational readiness and in-service operational excellence of LNG vessels.

The work will vary from detail-oriented content development to overall initiative strategy, working with senior shipboard officers and all levels of shoreside management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for safe operation of RCG LNG Fleet.
  2. Responsible for the continuous development and implementation of all LNG shipboard and shoreside procedures for RCG LNG Fleet.
  3. Responsible for LNG Bunkering compatibility assessment and Joint Plan of Bunkering Operation documentation preparation.
  4. Responsible to verify and drive a suitable design and implementation of all related LNG systems on board RCG newbuilds.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of LNG/IGF safety-related regulatory issues with a focus on IMO, Flag State, ISM, and Port State Regulations.
  6. Maintain the Crew Training Matrix (Regulatory and Company Requirements) in partnership with the nautical and technical operations team.
  7. Liaise with Marine Compliance team with respect to training certification, approval, and concerns to elevate to Flag State as needed.
  8. Support the training departments in searching for new solutions, providers, and technology; develop new (value-add) initiatives to increase competence and satisfy ISM.
  9. Participate in corporate Fleet Operational Safety Task Forces.

Knowledge, Qualifications, and Skills:

  1. Strong technical and analytical skills including advanced Excel, PowerPoint. Previous experience with programming.
  2. Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with various departments within the organization, both shipboard and shore side.
  3. Skilled in working issues with a high degree of professionalism, judgment, creativity, and initiative.
  4. Results driven, self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  5. Able to work in a fast-paced team environment and to multi-task.
  6. Detail-oriented and keen attention to accuracy.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to move about the office complex or vessels. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

A higher noise level is possible if visiting shipboard, offsite, or warehouse locations.
