The vacancy RBVE’s Lifeworks programme provides life‑changing employability and resettlement support to ex‑service personnel and the families of both veterans and serving members of the Armed Forces across the UK. Our flagship 4‑day course, delivered either online or in person, takes a person‑centred, tailored approach that empowers individuals to move into sustainable employment, education, or training. Lifeworks is award‑winning, impactful, and continually evolving to meet the needs of the Armed Forces community.

The Role

  • Delivering the 4‑day Lifeworks programme across the UK (online and in person)
  • Travelling nationwide and regularly staying away from home for up to 4 nights during programme delivery
  • Providing 12 months of follow‑up support to each participant, ensuring they gain and maintain employment
  • Building trusted relationships with veterans and families, offering guidance, motivation, and practical employability support
  • Developing and delivering a new suite of online employability workshops to expand the Lifeworks offer
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and employers to create meaningful opportunities for participants

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you are:

  • A confident facilitator with experience delivering training, coaching, or employability support
  • Passionate about supporting the Armed Forces community
  • Comfortable travelling and working away from home
  • Skilled at building rapport and supporting individuals with diverse needs
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload
  • Creative in designing engaging workshops and learning content

Experience working with veterans, families, or within employability services is beneficial but not essential — what matters most is your commitment to making a difference.
