We are seeking a Social Value Manager to lead the organisation’s approach to measuring, managing and reporting social value. Using the TOMS (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) framework, you will ensure that social value is accurately captured, evidenced and communicated across all areas of our work. This role is central to strengthening our impact narrative, supporting internal decision‑making, and meeting the expectations of external stakeholders, partners and commissioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead social value measurement across the organisation using the TOMS framework.
- Develop and maintain systems to capture, quantify and evidence social value data.
- Produce high‑quality reports for internal leadership, funders, partners and procurement requirements.
- Assess and quantify social value generated through partnerships, supporters and commissioned activity.
- Evidence the social value created by clients, ensuring robust methodologies and clear audit trails.
- Embed social value thinking into operational processes, project design and organisational strategy.
- Support teams to understand, measure and communicate their contribution to social value outcomes.
- Strengthen the organisation’s position in social procurement, impact reporting and competitive bidding.
About You
You will thrive in this role if you are analytical, impact‑driven and confident working with both qualitative and quantitative data. You bring a strong understanding of social value frameworks, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights.
Essential skills and experience
- Experience using the TOMS framework or similar social value methodologies.
- Strong analytical and data‑interpretation skills.
- Ability to produce clear, compelling impact reports.
- Experience embedding measurement frameworks into organisational processes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in social procurement, commissioning or impact evaluation.
- Knowledge of SROI, wellbeing valuation or other impact measurement tools.
