We are looking for a Care Supervisor (Senior Care Assistant) to join our dedicated team at Galanos House in Southam, Warwickshire. Experience working in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings is essential. As a Care Supervisor, you will inspire care teams to provide compassionate, high-quality support tailored to each resident’s needs. Evidence of professional development in dementia care is required. You will create personalised care plans, promote health and well-being, and ensure that the preferences and choices of residents are central to their care.

Working 37.5 hours per week, shift patterns are from 7:00am to 2:30pm and 2:00pm to 9:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays. Please note that we are currently only able to consider applications from candidates who live within commutable distance of the care home and have the legal right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas at this time.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage shifts effectively to ensure everything runs smoothly and that care is always a top priority.
  • Guide and support team members to help them develop professionally.
  • Assess individual care needs, create personalised care plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure it’s done safely and accurately.
  • Provide compassionate care, particularly in end-of-life situations, offering emotional support to residents and their families.

You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care or equivalent and will be willing to work towards a Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisory Apprenticeship Standard. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

Galanos House is one of six care homes, situated on the edge of Southam, a small market town in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. Our care home has a CQC Outstanding rating. A place where ex-servicemen and women and their spouses can feel completely at home, providing care for those who have served in the Armed Forces and their dependants. We offer Nursing Care, Residential Care, and support for people living with dementia. Adjacent to the main building is the Galanos community hub, which boasts a beautiful light and spacious café and a number of multipurpose spaces which host groups, activities & events.
