We’re expanding our team and are looking for a Care Assistant to join us at Dunkirk Memorial House. This role offers 36 hours per week, with shifts between 07:45 and 19:45 Monday to Sunday. Salary £13.41 - £13.62 per hour.
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our residents, many of whom have served in the Armed Forces. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with personal care
- Supporting residents with their daily routines
- Ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times
- Helping with mobility, nutrition, and medication as required
- Working closely with colleagues to provide a safe, welcoming environment
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

Located in the serene Somerset countryside, Dunkirk Memorial House offers a welcoming home with 86 en-suite bedrooms, a bar, library, chapel, and beautiful grounds featuring a rose garden. We are proud to offer expert care, including a specialized Dementia Mews providing compassionate support for up to 30 residents.
