Overview

This is a 6 month fixed term contract. We provide housing and support to approximately 300 veterans and their families across our 72 acre village in Aylesford, Kent. The role sits within our Housing and Welfare team and works alongside our Housing Officer, Welfare Officer and Step-In Officer. The main duties include providing support and advice for Welfare and Housing Benefits, submitting and then monitoring claims. The post holder will also work with our Finance Team to monitor around 200 rent accounts and ensure that any rent arrears are raised with residents and dealt with effectively and efficiently.

Making the initial Housing Benefit claims for new tenancies/licence agreements, ensuring all supporting evidence is collated, correctly submitted on time. Each RBLI division offers a service to help veterans live an independent life with support to deliver a full-care pathway on-site for veterans of any age or background from across the three services.
