The predicted salary is between 15.06 - 15.06 £ per hour.
We are looking for a qualified Chef to join our dedicated care home team. Your culinary skills will help enhance the wellbeing of our residents. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week across 4 days out of a 7‑day rota. Please note that we are currently only able to consider applications from candidates who have the legal right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Work with the Head Chef to deliver catering services within the care home.
- Prepare food for residents according to nutrition, hydration, and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of food provision and service for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure all health and safety records comply with statutory requirements.
Qualifications and experience:
- City & Guilds 706 (1&2) Food Preparation or equivalent and an intermediary food hygiene certificate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience maintaining standards within a catering department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act.
- Good IT skills and experience working in a care home or a similar setting.
