Overview

We’re seeking dedicated physiotherapists to join our supportive MSK outpatient team at Christchurch, Bournemouth, and Poole Hospitals.

This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise in musculoskeletal outpatients and inpatient orthopaedics at an early stage in your career, gaining valuable experience within a highly regarded NHS service.

Responsibilities

  • Work within MSK outpatients and inpatient orthopaedics, developing your expertise in these key areas.
  • Rotate every 6 months within specialist areas of MSK therapy and orthopaedic practice to support your development.
  • Participate in the orthopaedic weekend rota.

Base Location: Poole and/or Christchurch Hospital

Additional details

  • Interview Date: To be confirmed (TBC).
  • You will be responsible for providing specialist advice on the management of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals. You will work without direct supervision and provide support, guidance, and training to peers, technical instructors, physiotherapy assistants, and students.
  • The post holder is accountable to the MSK Physiotherapy Manager and is responsible for ensuring a high standard of clinical care for patients under their management, while supporting more junior staff to do likewise.
  • Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD and underpin our work. Some services may move sites this year or next due to merger and the New Hospital Programme.
  • Recruiting Managers interviewing for this role can answer questions at interview about site moves or relocation.
  • Please note that if the role or service relocates as part of a planned move, employees may not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement; travel from home to the new work base will be treated as a normal commute.
