This position isinstrumental in contributing to one of Kew’s 2021-2030 organisational priorities: Training the Next Generation of Experts.

Since the launch of Kew’s Manifesto for Change, the Science Education team has increased its provision of training and development opportunities both internally (staff development) and externally (teaching and supervision to postgraduate students and professionals).

This increased provision requires organisation and planning, and for this, we require a highly motivated individual to ensure the training functions are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Working within a small Science Education team, this role will provide accurate, timely and efficient administration of key Science Education processes adhering to department standards, policies and procedures.

We’re looking for an administrative professional who loves planning and organisation.

You’ll be working across the education team, supporting a range of activities including recruitment, invoicing, travel bookings and contracts.

You’ll need to be able to juggle a high and varied workload, and to be able to prioritise your work based on the needs of the team.

You’ll also be expected to work across the whole organisation too, where you will work closely with our finance, HR, facilities and legal teams.

This role will require precision and accuracy – making sure all the administrative tasks are completed to a high standard.

However, the role requires more than this – you should be energetic and enthusiastic, enjoy working with others and relish the opportunity to support a wide range of education and training activities within a growing biodiversity-science focussed organisation.

This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary for this position is£29,692 - £31,434 per annum, depending on skills and experience [Band B]
