Overview
Training and support for teachers is central to our ambition to grow science capital and improve plant and fungal science teaching across the UK. This includes our own team of educators, who deliver curriculum linked inspiring sessions to pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 5, as well as the thousands of teachers we engage each year through our CPD (Continued Professional Development), ITT (Initial Teacher Training and digital resources., Endeavour.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of our teacher training offer including CPD and ITT for visiting teachers at Kew and through our online bank of resources, Endeavour.
- Teach pupils across all key stages, from Early Years to Key Stage 5.
- Support, mentor and manage colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery and the smooth day-to-day running of the Schools Programme.
Contract details
This post is a 0.6FTE part time annualised hours contract, with most of your hours being completed during term time and during our busy period from March to October.
Requirements
An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this role.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator who is passionate about outdoor learning and plant and fungal science. You will be confident working across all key stages, familiar with the National Curriculum for Science and Geograohy and able to lead and inspire others and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Creativity, adaptability and accuracy are essential, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional learning experiences for both pupils and teachers.
