Salary: £39,243 per year [Band D]

Contract: Fixed Term (FTA)

Hours of work: Full time

Contract start date: 1 June 2026

Contract end date: 3 years from start date

Educated to at least level 4 (e.g. HNC), the ideal candidate will bring knowledge and skills gained through relevant technical or scientific roles to coordinate the experimental and analytical work that is central to this post. You will have experience of a range of scientific procedures applicable to seed banking, and a good working knowledge of best practice, including health & safety and environmental sustainability. You will also have clear spoken and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills to proactively coordinate work across science teams, provide supervision to interns and training to staff, students and visitors.

Desirable: experience of developing or delivering training, and knowledge of facilities and equipment management, including in an international and/or lower-cost context.

Interviews are due to be held on 7 May.

This role is hybrid working based at Wakehurst with regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
