We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Projects Officer to join us! This is a full‑time, 2‑year fixed‑term role with hybrid working, and a salary of £30,193 – £34,104 per annum.
The Role
Reporting to the Net Zero Energy Manager, the successful candidate will analyse data and work with the team to build project pipelines and develop funding applications, prioritising energy, decarbonisation, flooding and climate adaptation. Your role will involve:
- Analysis of large numerical datasets and use of mapping software to identify project opportunities supporting the Council’s Plan 2024‑2028, Environment & Climate Strategy 2026‑2035 and Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.
- Research and identify appropriate external funding opportunities and support development of funding applications.
- Maintain databases to ensure they are up‑to‑date and accessible for efficient data collation to satisfy reporting deadlines.
- Support project delivery by coordinating procurement and contractors.
- Assist with organisation and payment of the council’s utility bills.
