We have an exciting opportunity for a Highways Administrator to join us! This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £26,895 - £30,132 per annum. The highway administrator will report into the Senior Highways Inspection Officer. The position will work alongside the existing Highway Inspection team of 4 to provide support with day-to-day tasks, which is vital to allow the Highway Inspectors to undertake their statutory duties. The officer will actively promote best practice across the organisation by working through existing processes in place.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Highways Administrator to join our existing Highways team.
The role:
- You will report into the Senior Highways Inspector, providing vital support to the team of Highways Inspectors.
- You will help support the day to day running of the inspection team, through various different applications and processes.
- Your role will involve:
- To assist the team in requesting, uploading and issuing utility searches (c2’s).
- Providing support with the Councils Asset Management System (Confirm) through placing orders, closing enquiries, updating jobs raised by the inspectors.
- Looking over the existing vehicle fleet, arranging MOTs, dealing with any insurance issues.
- To assist with administrative tasks such as customer complaints, FoIs.
- To provide assistance in gathering information to support with insurance claims, and supporting the team with other admin tasks such as finances.

- Someone who has good literacy and numeracy skills and is confident using computer-based systems.
- A team-focused attitude and pride themselves in attention to detail.
- An organised and flexible approach who is able to manage their workload accordingly.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deal confidently with colleagues and residents.
