We are seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Supply Team Leader with the drive and ability to deliver an efficient and effective temporary accommodation service for the borough.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Delivering an efficient and effective temporary accommodation service for the borough with responsibility for the procurement of temporary accommodation units from the private sector.
  • The development, administration and management of in-house units of accommodation.
  • Management and supervision of rent accounts and housing benefit payments, temporary accommodation placements and transfers.
  • The management and administration of an effective estate management service for our in-house temporary accommodation units.

What We Are Looking For:

  • You will be educated to A level/NVQ3 level or equivalent.
  • You will have extensive experience of leading and managing a temporary accommodation team within a local authority Housing Service.
  • You will have a creative and innovative problem-solving mind, being able to interpret and apply relevant legislation and undertake complex pieces of work.
  • You will have experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing staff.
  • You will have experience of working in and leading a busy, front line, customer-focused team.
  • You will be experienced in working within a performance-driven environment, meeting targets and managing and motivating a team to improve performance.
