We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join our Mental Wellbeing Service! This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a competitive salary of £47,831‑£52,414 per annum (dependent on experience), plus an annual retention bonus of £3,000 subject to eligibility.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality adult social care services while supporting the development of others within the team. You will manage a complex caseload, provide professional leadership, and contribute to embedding strengths‑based practice across the service. You will also support colleagues through supervision and informal coaching, helping to build confidence and capability within a developing team.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Managing a caseload of complex assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and care planning in line with the Care Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Supporting and supervising colleagues, including offering guidance on complex casework and decision‑making.
  • Leading and contributing to multi‑agency meetings, including safeguarding, best interest, and risk management forums.
  • Promoting and embedding a strengths‑based, person‑centred approach to practice.
  • Contributing to service development, performance, and continuous improvement within a newly re‑integrated team.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant post‑qualification experience in adult social care, including complex case management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Experience of supporting others, supervision, or informal mentoring within a team.
  • A commitment to strengths‑based practice, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and partner agencies.
  • A commitment to PEPS - AMHP- BIA.
