We have an exciting opportunity for Scanning and Indexing Assistant to join us!
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Scanning and Indexing Assistant to join our successful team to provide support to teams within the council’s Revenues service including Council Tax and Housing Benefits.
This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £23,706 – £25,306 per annum.

The Role
Working in our Revenues Team, you will report to the Revenues and Benefits Controls Team Leader.
Your Role Will Involve
- Opening post and scanning and indexing to customer’s accounts
- Providing a secure end to end service for incoming post including sensitive documents.
- Organising and maintaining the electronic filing system
- Ensuring all incoming e-mails are loaded to the council’s document imaging system accurately
- Undertaking the daily despatch of notification letters
- Processing cheque payments received by the department
