We have a great opportunity for a Library Advisor to join us! This is a part-time permanent role based at Wraysbury Library but with a requirement to cover all libraries within the Borough. The full-time salary is £23,706- £25,306 per annum. (£2,402.60 - £2,564.76 pro rata)

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Library Advisor to join our Library and Resident Contact (Face to Face) team.

The Role: As part of the wider Library and Resident Services Team you will have a key role in delivering day to day library and council services at RBWM libraries. Your role will involve:

  • Delivering excellent customer service to library customers patiently and empathetically, understanding that all customer interactions make a difference
  • Dealing with enquiries including council customer services and general community signposting and support services
  • Assisting customers with digital support
  • Supporting and delivering library events

  • Someone who loves helping people
  • An understanding of the value of the public library service to communities and individuals
  • Excellent digital skills and the ability to show people how to use a variety of digital devices
  • A love of books and reading
  • Ability to work at any location in the Borough often single staffing.
  • A level of physical fitness enabling carrying boxes of books, pushing loaded book trolleys and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Exceptional patience, adaptability and emotional intelligence
