We have an exciting opportunity for a Net Zero Partnerships Coordinator to join us! This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £34,962- £38,791 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Net Zero Partnerships Coordinator to join our Sustainability and Climate team.

The Role: Reporting to the Net Zero Energy Manager, the successful candidate will provide coordination to the RBWM Climate Partnership to develop strong, lasting and purposeful relationships with residents, community groups and businesses across the Borough which will play an important role in enabling decarbonisation across the Royal Borough. The successful candidate will also support the RBWM Climate Partnership’s Steering Group to manage governance, project delivery, budgets and communication as well as develop and engage with broader neighbouring partnerships that support the transition to a net zero future.

Your role will involve:

  • Coordination of the RBWM Climate Partnership and Steering Group and Chair to ensure there is a clear strategic focus and the project streams are enabling decarbonisation and climate action.
  • Facilitate and support community managed climate action and decarbonisation projects through engagement with residents, community groups, businesses.
  • Research and support the development of external funding bids which will further enable the Climate Partnership, and RBWM's Sustainability and Climate Team, to deliver climate action and decarbonisation in the borough.
  • Manage the allocation of funding to eligible community projects which support targeted climate action and decarbonisation and monitor the project progress and outcomes.
  • Work with RBWM colleagues to establish an appropriate means of engaging with businesses in the borough.
  • Support Council Officers in their engagement with communities and businesses to support the delivery of the Environment and Climate Strategy 2026 – 2035 across the five strategic priorities (Energy, Transport, Natural Environment, Waste, and Governance Finance and Risk).

  • Experience which demonstrates an active interest in decarbonisation, sustainability or business/community engagement and/or partnership working.
  • Experience in identifying funding opportunities and supporting the bid development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive communications with respect and an understanding of differing perspectives.
