We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Quality and Safeguarding to join us!
We are recruiting a strategic and compassionate leader to take forward quality assurance, safeguarding governance, and professional standards across Adult Social Care at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. This important role is central to delivering our Social Care Futures vision and ensuring that our workforce is confident, skilled, and supported to deliver safe, person-centred, strengths-based care.
This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £59,961 £65,471 per annum.
About the role
As Head of Quality and Safeguarding, you will report directly to the Deputy Director of Adult Social Care and work closely with the Principal Social Worker, Principal Occupational Therapist, and the Service Team Manager for the Safeguarding & DoLS Hub. You will:
- Lead quality assurance and safeguarding governance across all adult social care teams.
- Champion professional standards and reflective practice.
- Ensure statutory responsibilities under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other legislation are met with integrity and compassion.
- Drive continuous improvement and embed a culture of learning, accountability, and co-production.
- Contribute to RBWM’s strategic priorities: building inclusive, healthy communities, promoting prevention and choice, and delivering compassionate, high-quality services.
