We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager (Property) to join us! This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £53,269 - £58,286 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Asset Manager (Property) to join our Property Services team.

The Role

You will report to the Senior Asset Manager and work within a supportive and professional team to manage the Council's commercial and operational property portfolio.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Managing the day-to-day performance of the property portfolio, ensuring value and rental income are maximised
  • Leading on rent collection, lease negotiations, and income monitoring
  • Supporting acquisitions and disposals, including managing external consultants
  • Contributing to strategic asset planning and investment proposals
  • Liaising with councillors, senior officers, and stakeholders to support service objectives

What We Are Looking For:

  • MRICS qualified (General Practice) with substantial post-qualification experience in property management
  • Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and best practice
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage external relationships
  • Competent in budget management, rent reconciliation, and service charge processes
  • Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently with good attention to detail
