About the Service & Team

The Design & Delivery team includes staff from Team Lead, Principal Engineers, Senior Engineers, Graduate, Technician and Apprentices. The team is approximately 30 staff and works on Street Lighting, TMOs, Planned Maintenance, Vehicle Crossovers and Surveys.

Role Overview

To support the Principal Engineer in managing the design team and delivering a range of street lighting schemes and the street lighting maintenance programme, and to coordinate with the term maintenance contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Principal Engineer in managing the design team.
  • Deliver a range of street lighting schemes.
  • Manage the street lighting maintenance programme.
  • Coordinate with the term maintenance contractor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Enthusiastic to manage team members to deliver a range of schemes.
  • Check drawings & designs and adhere to standards and processes.
  • Advise clients on technical design queries and lead in project meetings.
  • Produce documents and reports in relation to design stages and analyse data to propose interventions.
  • Previous experience of working at a Local Authority and Consultancy is beneficial.
  • Local knowledge of the Kingston and Sutton highway network.
  • Previous knowledge of street lighting maintenance programmes.
