About the Role And Our Ideal Candidate

What you’ll do:

  • Provide visionary leadership, inspiring a high‑performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and safety legislation.
  • Oversee plan checks, inspections, enforcement and dangerous structures work.
  • Develop commercial opportunities and partnerships, positioning Kingston as a trusted authority.
  • Represent the service at senior level, influencing stakeholders and shaping policy.

What we’re looking for:

  • Professional membership (RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent) and a degree‑level qualification.
  • Proven experience managing complex Building Control projects, including high‑rise and commercial schemes.
  • Deep knowledge of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • A collaborative leader who combines technical expertise with a people‑first approach.
