Job Title: Vehicle Technician – HC620389

Location: Winchester

Pay Grade: Scale 6, £36,247.00 – £38,329.00 per annum, including a £4000.00 market supplement, plus overtime opportunities.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday, and 08.00 – 16.00 on Friday).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Transport Department is seeking skilled, highly motivated Vehicle Technicians to join our team. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles, including police vehicles fitted with specialized equipment. The role requires working under pressure and unsupervised, ensuring all repairs and maintenance meet high standards.

The successful candidate will work at our Winchester workshop, maintaining a fleet that includes high-performance police cars and vans used across the UK for various operations. The role involves servicing, repairs, vehicle road tests, and basic vehicle fittings for police use. Opportunities to support local and national events are also available.
