The Role
Join Hampshire’s School Crossing Patrol Service and become a valued part of your local community by helping to keep children and families safe on their journeys to and from school. This is a rewarding and highly visible role where you’ll play a key part in promoting road safety and making a positive difference every day.
What you’ll do
- As a School Crossing Patrol, you’ll take on a vital role in your community - helping children and families cross the road safely during busy school run times.
- You’ll be a calm and reassuring presence at designated crossing points, ensuring pedestrians are protected and traffic is managed with care and confidence.
- Your role is essential in making sure children and other pedestrians can travel to and from school safely.
- This position involves working 10 hours per week during school term time, typically one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon.
- You’ll be provided with a uniform to keep you protected in all weather conditions, and you’ll be part of a valued team making a real difference every day.
