Job Description
Help shape the backbone of our services – and build smarter systems for a stronger borough. Our Oracle Cloud platform is a vital part of how we work – supporting everything from HR and Finance to Procurement. As our Oracle Systems Administrator, you’ll be the one who keeps it running smoothly, solving problems before they surface and helping us get the most out of every function.
Working Style
You’ll be based in the Borough for 3 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you’re working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents’ lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the technical administration of our Oracle Cloud system, ensuring operating health and performance across Human Resources, Procurement and Finance modules.
- Act as point of contact for system health and performance, tackling issues with integrations, interfaces and data flows.
- Maintain middleware tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and SFTP, and ensure critical processes run with minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance and Procurement to understand their needs, translate requirements into smart solutions and recommend improvements that maximise our Oracle investment.
- Participate in the ongoing Oracle roadmap and improvement plans, bringing new ideas and expertise to the table.

What You’ll Bring
- Experienced systems administrator with hands‑on knowledge of Oracle Cloud, comfortable handling SQL queries, interfaces, configuration, maintenance and middleware in high‑pressure situations.
- Subject‑matter expertise in at least one of the key areas – HR or Procurement – and a deep understanding of how these systems support wider teams.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and change while effectively communicating system behaviour to non‑technical stakeholders.
