Occupational Therapist x 2 in London

Be part of a long-term complex occupational team that cares about patients and cares about you. In Kensington and Chelsea, we support people’s independence and wellbeing and work hard to enable them to live in the community with dignity, choice and control. You’ll be a part of a long-term complex occupational therapy team, providing a professional Occupational Therapy Service to physically disabled residents within the borough, to enhance independence, reduce dependency on care and manage risks associated with daily life activities.

What You’ll Be Doing: At Kensington & Chelsea, we don’t just talk about person-centred care, we deliver it. Our OTs help to provide a service they can be proud of. We’ll look to you to assess people’s capabilities, using a variety of approaches, and to help them find the motivation and support to progress. You’ll also guide and mentor colleagues, potentially including OT students, and promote a culture of learning. At every step you’ll have the full support of our close-knit community team.

What You’ll Bring: A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist, ideally with a community-based background, you’ll have significant experience of carrying out OT assessments for disabled people and their carers. As you’ll be dealing with people who have complex health conditions, you’ll need to be sensitive and empathic. At the same time, you’ll need well-developed powers of persuasion, as success in this role depends on finding out what motivates each patient and then making sure progress is achieved. You’ll also need to be comfortable working with electronic case management systems.

The role will require an Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred List. Interviews will take place on 14th October 2026.

Working Style: You’ll be based in the Borough for two days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. The other three days a week we offer hybrid working from home.
