As our new Environmental Services Manager, you will play a vital role in protecting and enhancing our local environment, helping to create cleaner, safer spaces that residents can truly enjoy. This is a hands-on role where your leadership and ideas will make a visible difference.

Working Style: You will be based in the Borough for four days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you are working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you will be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents' lives.

What you will be doing: You will be responsible for managing our contracted grounds maintenance and tree services, making sure they meet the highest standards across all estates and play areas. Leading a team of project managers, you will oversee a range of environmental improvement projects - from initial concept through to delivery - with a focus on community engagement at every stage. You will manage our Estate Improvement budget strategically, while also identifying and securing additional funding for new initiatives. These could include green energy projects, improved lighting, CCTV, landscaping, playground upgrades or better storage facilities for bikes.
