Creative Writing Tutor for our Adult Community Learning Courses. Open Age, the charity empowering older people in London to stay active, stay curious and stay connected, is looking for an enthusiastic freelance tutor to join our Adult Community Learning (ACL) team in September 2026. The ACL programme is funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) and offers lively, sociable classes in a warm and welcoming community setting. Courses usually run for 2 hours per week over 5/10 weeks.

Location: New Horizons, Guinness Trust Estate, Cadogan Street, London SW3 2PF (near Sloane Square). Time: Fridays, 12.30-2.30pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a Creative Writing course, including planning, delivery and paperwork.

What We Offer:

  • £30 per hour (includes planning, delivery and paperwork)
  • DBS check costs covered by us

What We're Looking For:

  • A teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Independent public liability insurance
  • Passion for teaching adults in a supportive, community-based environment
